Farrah Leni Fawcett (born Ferrah Leni Fawcett; February 2, 1947 - June 25 in 2009) was an American actress. Fawcett was a four-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee as and a six-time Golden Globe Award nomination. She rose to international fame due to her starring role in the first season's Charlie's Angels. She appeared on numerous television shows during the 1970s alongside Lee Majors, her husband who was a television and film actor. Her famous red swimsuit ad sold six million copies during its first year of print. Fawcett's most memorable character was that of a private investigator Jill Munroe in Charlie's Angels in which she co-starred with Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith. The show catapulted the three actresses to fame. After appearing on the show's first season in 1976, Fawcett decided to leave Charlie's Angels.
