Matt Brown

 Matthew Burton Brown, born January 10, 1981 is an American mixed martial artist that competes in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Brown, a professional competitor since 2004 was a contestant during the seventh season on The Ultimate Fighter television series. Brown holds the record for the highest number of UFC Welterweight knockouts. Brown was born in Jamestown. After being home-schooled for two years, he went to Greeneview High School, where it was a struggle to make friends. In an unimportant town that had no foreseeable future outside of the low-paying manufacturing job as a machinist Brown became frustrated and was hooked on alcohol and drugs. In the beginning that lasted for a while, he was dependent on meth, regularly used cocaine, and often got involved in fights at gatherings. He was homeless by the time he reached his 20s and was in prison following a heroin overdose.
