Alex Trebek

 Alex Trebek was a Canadian-born American game show host who had a net worth of $75 million at the time of his demise. The role of host on the syndicated game show Jeopardy! was his most well-known. The show was hosted by him from 1984 until his demise in November of 2020. Trebek passed away on the 8th of November of 2020, aged 80 following a struggle of pancreatic cancer.George Alexander Trebek was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada on the 22nd of July, 1940. His father George Edward Trebek was an immigrant from Ukraine, and his mother Lucille Lagace was Franco-Ontarian and Trebek grew up in a bilingual home that spoke English and French. He attended Sudbury High School, now Sudbury Secondary School. In the same school, he continued his studies at the University of Ottawa. In 1961, he earned an undergraduate degree in philosophy. He started his career in television during the same time at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). He began as a substitute for announcers. Then, he went into covering national news and a variety of special events for the radio and television divisions of CBC.
