Amy Lou Adams has been featured three times in the annual list of the most well-paid actresses in the world. Her accolades include two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for six Academy Awards and seven British Academy Film Awards. She made her debut on film in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999), where she played a supporting role. Her appearances also included guest spots on TV and performed "mean girls" roles in feature films that had low budgets. Her first major role came in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Can (2002), but she went unemployed for nearly an entire year following. Her breakthrough came in 2005 when she played an intelligent, pregnant woman in Junebug (2005).
