George Strait

 George Harvey Strait Sr. was born on May 18th, 1952. He is an American musician, singer and actor. Strait is often referred to as the "King of Country", and is well-known as a singer and songwriter, actor and music producer from the United States. His first single, "Unwound," was released in 1981. It was the start of the rise of the neotraditional style. The 1980s saw seven albums by Strait made it to the top of the charts for country music. In the 2000s, Strait was named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music, selected into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and won his first Grammy award for the album Troubadour. Strait was awarded the CMA Entertainer Of The Year in 1989 as well as 1990 and 2013.
