Ashley Michelle Tisdale (born July 2nd in 1985) is an American actress and singer. She appeared in over 100 commercials while a child and played minor roles in theatre and on television. Her mainstream success came in the role of Maddie Fitzpatrick in the Disney Channel teen sitcom The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (2005-2008). She also appeared in the High School Musical movie series (2006)-2008. After the success of the film series, Tisdale signed with Warner Bros. Records. She then released her first studio album, Headstrong (2007). The album was a commercial success and was awarded a gold certificate from the Recording Industry Association of America. Tisdale played the voice role of Candace Flynn in the Disney Channel animated series Phineas & Ferb (2007-2015).Tisdale's second studio album, Guilty Pleasure (2009), was released to less commercial success than its predecessor. After the album's release, Tisdale quit working with Warner Bros. Records. She started appearing in films and returned to TV with shows such as Hellcats (2010).
