Ben Affleck

 Benjamin Geza Affleck[b] was born August 15, 1972 and is an American actor, filmmaker, and director. His awards include two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and a Volpi Cup, the principal award given to actors at the Venice Film Festival. As a youngster, he appeared in the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984-1988). In the following years, he was a part of the independent comedy Dazed & Confused (1993) as well as several Kevin Smith films including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck was more well-known when the two of his childhood friends Matt Damon won both the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997). The two also played roles in the film. Affleck was then a prominent actor in films of the studio such as the disaster film Armageddon (1998) and the war drama Pearl Harbor (192001). Affleck also appeared in the action films The Sum of All Fears and The Sum of All Fears (both 2002).
