Bernard John Taupin, CBE (born 22 May 1950), is a famous English musician, singer, and visual artist. The long-term songwriting collaboration and collaboration with Elton John is his most noteworthy achievement. Taupin composed the lyrics for the majority John's hits. In the year 1967, Taupin responded to an advertisement in New Musical Express by Liberty Records. John responded to the same advertisement and the two have worked on several albums together. John and Taupin were both inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame 1992. John was the son of Robert Taupin, and Daphne and Daphne, daughters of John Leonard Palchett Poppy Cort and Daphne, both educated at the University of Cambridge as classical teachers, and the former rectors of Sale, Greater Manchester (then was known as Cheshire).
