Elizabeth Berkley

 Elizabeth Berkley (born July 28, 1974) is an American actress. She played the Jessie Spano character in Saved by the Bell. She played the title character in the animated film Armitage III: Poly-Matrix and was a supporting character in the films The First Wives Club and Roger Dodger. She was a theatre actor who was praised for her performance in Hurlyburly. She is the daughter of Jere the gift basket business owner and Fred Berkley, a lawyer. Jason is her brother. She grew up dancing in a basement dance studio that her parents had set up. She auditioned for the role of the lead in the film Annie. After becoming interested in professional dance, she traveled to New York City to train with dancers as well as choreographers.She performed in several ballets that included Swan Lake, and in 1983, she appeared in several musicals.
