Kaya Rose Scodelario Davis (nee Humphrey) is an English actress from England. She is well-known for her roles in Effy Stonem's E4 drama Skins (2007-2010 and 2013) and also Teresa in the Maze Runner movie series (2014-2018). The other roles she has played include Catherine Earnshaw in Andrea Arnold's Wuthering Heights (2011), Carina Smyth in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017), Carole Ann Boone in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019), Haley Keller in Crawl (2019), Katarina Baker in the Netflix original series Spinning Out (2020) and Claire Redfield in Resident Evil The Welcome to Raccoon City (2021).In 2007 when she was 14 and with no acting experience, Scodelario was selected for the debut series of Skins as Effy Stonem. When she auditioned, Scodelario was discouraged because she believed she was too young but a producer told her to keep going and she was asked to read for the role. Although Scodelario was not given much speaking time in the first season but she developed her character during the second season.
