Anson Williams was born Anson William Heimlich on September 25, 1949 in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor and singer. He is best known for his part in Happy Days (1974-1984), in which he played the character of Warren "Potsie" the talented and well-intentioned vocalist. But his appearances decreased in subsequent seasons. In some episodes, Richie, Potsie, and Ralph formed a band combo that played at Arnold's Drive-In as well as other locations. Williams was the singer as Potsie. Williams's first wife Lorrie Mahaffey was the singer who sang lead vocals in the group. Williams later returned to Happy Days in a retrospective way.
